Brent, WTI drop 2% as oil demand concerns outweigh supply risk

Oil futures retreated Thursday even as the U.S.-Iran war continues, with traders focused on falling demand rather than supply disruptions

Brent crude futures were down 2% at $87.17 per barrel on Thursday, with West Texas Intermediate futures off 2.2% at $81.41 per barrel, as anxiety over softening oil demand overshadowed the backdrop of the continuing U.S.-Iran war.
