JPMorganChase has joined the International Olympic Committee's Worldwide Olympic Partner program as the first bank ever to hold that status, the two organizations announced. The partnership covers the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the French Alps 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

JPMorganChase will hold the Worldwide Olympic Partner designation in the Asset and Wealth Management and Private Banking, Commercial and Investment Banking category. In the U.S., the firm will also serve as a Founding Partner of the LA28 Games in the Retail Banking category, as well as the Official Bank of Team USA and LA28.

IOC President Kirsty Coventry said in a statement: "JPMorganChase is the first Global Partner from the banking sector in Olympic history, and we are proud to welcome them to the Worldwide Olympic Partner programme. JPMorganChase's global reach and expertise will deliver lasting support for athletes and help create a lasting impact in communities worldwide."

JPMorganChase CEO Jamie Dimon said in a statement: "We are honored to be a Worldwide Partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, supporting athletes, fans, businesses and communities around the globe. Olympians and Paralympians are more than athletes — they are our customers, clients and employees, and their dreams extend beyond the Games."

As part of the partnership, JPMorganChase and the IOC will offer financial health workshops for athletes through the IOC's Athlete365 platform. Money from the partnership will be shared to support sports organizations worldwide, including National Olympic Committees and Organizing Committees for the Olympic and Youth Olympic Games, following the IOC's usual process.

The firm also announced a partnership with NBCUniversal to support its multi-platform coverage of the LA28 Games, with the two companies planning to highlight athlete stories and competitions across platforms.

JPMorganChase operates in over 60 countries and serves clients in more than 100 markets, according to the company. In the U.S., it serves more than 86 million consumers and 7.4 million small businesses through more than 5,000 branches in 48 states and the District of Columbia. In the Los Angeles area, the firm serves more than 5 million customers and 589,000 small business clients through more than 330 branches and about 6,000 employees.

The IOC redistributes more than 90% of its income to the broader sports community, with the equivalent of $4.7 million going to athletes and sports organizations each day, according to the committee.
