What to Do When You Don't Know What to Do

You know those moments when clarity suddenly shows up in your gut. Maybe you just know it’s time for bed. Or you sense a need for fresh air, or connection, or quiet. You get an urge to look up an author and learn from them. Or an unexpected urge to stop listening to content that no longer feels right. Maybe a friend comes to mind out of the blue, and you feel moved to reach out to them.

Sometimes, you’re deciding whether or not to do something and the answer becomes instantly clear. You’re not forcing it. It’s simply an internal “yes” or “no.” It might even be “I’m not sure yet” or “I need more time” or “I changed my mind,” the human version of recalculating.

That inner knowing is intuition. It’s our built-in GPS, included in every make and model of us. It helps us navigate life. When we clear out internal noise and set aside distractions, we can hear it more easily.

If you’re not sure what your intuition feels like yet, that’s completely OK. It becomes clearer with practice and patience. Intuition may feel soft and subtle or unmistakably strong, whether it’s nudging........
