My early life was spent exploring the unfathomable depths of the Earth and fighting valiant lost causes on the front lines of galaxies far, far away.
Yesterday, I was Luke Skywalker, destined for great and mysterious things.
Today, I’m a Lego man, working my yellow plastic hands raw, mining for crystals under the crushing sea.
Tomorrow, I’ll don the guise of a Power Ranger and karate chop my way to being a cool teen with just enough attitude to save the world.

Dramatic, I admit, but that’s childhood for you.
Try as I might, I could find no other words to describe the memories that came flooding back recently as my wife and I sat down and started sorting through the treasures of my youth.
My parents recently hauled my old childhood toys out of storage and, with a wink and a nudge, proclaimed that it was time I reclaimed........
