ANDY WALKER: Summer will be busy on the political front
The end of the spring legislature session usually means a lull on the political front as MLAs turn their attention to attending as many events as possible in their ridings over the summer months.
That should be especially true in a year like this one, since the spring session was a month behind its scheduled start and finished just as summer was on the horizon. However, this is far from being a “typical” year politically. While much of the attention over the past several weeks and months has been focused on the national scene, the second half of this year will feature change as the main theme on the provincial front as well.
