What next for U’s after new contract for double player of the year?
AS far as statements of intent go, tying down your double player of the year winner to a new contract is certainly a strong one.
That’s exactly what Oxford United did at the end of last week, with the announcement that Ciaron Brown has ‘committed his long-term future’ to the U’s.
The length of the deal hasn’t been disclosed, however Brown’s previous contract was due to expire next summer.
It means we can probably expect Brown’s new deal to keep him at United until 2028 as a minimum.
At 27, that would mean Brown should be approaching his best years in a yellow shirt.
