I’m also old enough to remember coffee cream selling for $3.99 a litre. It seems like it was just a few years ago. As I contemplated paying $6.49 for the same product this week and having to say hello to security guards at the door, in addition to metal barriers preventing people from running out of the store without paying for their purchases, I wondered: Is a police crackdown the right solution to this problem?
