Pub attacker continued to kick man as he lay unconscious
A dispute between two women outside the Pig and Whistle descended into a violent confrontation and saw one man knocked out.
Other drinkers had to intervene to stop Joe Aldridge, 28, continuing to repeatedly kick another drinker as he lay prone on the ground.
Police and paramedics called to the city centre pub on Westlegate following the disorder on November 11 last year treated the man at a scene for head injuries before he was taken to hospital.
