PC Richard Dawson is facing a misconduct hearing over his behaviour in the interview conducted in August 2024.

He is alleged to have breached the standards of professional behaviour expected of police officers in respect of respect and courtesy, orders and instructions and that his conduct was discreditable.

The PC was on duty at the time, but working from home.

An accelerated misconduct hearing into his case will be heard on May 21.
