The three-week programme from June 9 until June 25 is part of the national Refugee Week festival, began with a launch at the city council chamber and includes a wide range of activities and events.

A spokesman for the organisers said: "We are acknowledging the stories, resilience, skills, creativity and culture which they contribute."
