Barry Gelder and Naomi Shulver, landlords of the award winning Wheel of Fortune pub in Aplington, are relieved as plans enabling them to expand their garden and car park have been approved.

Under the proposals, which were put forward by developer FW Properties, a new car park and additional land for the pub was part of the bid to build new homes in the village.

The couple say the expansion will enable them to host large events, such as its beer festival, which have become key to their business' trade.
