Eleanor Laming, vice chair of Broadland District Council's planning committee, said the lights at Broadland Gate and Broadland Business Park, on the outskirts of Norwich, had become too bright.

Broadland Gate, just off the NDR, is home to a McDonald’s, a Jaguar Land Rover dealership and a Lidl, all of which have large, illuminated signs.

It also hosts electric vehicle forecourt, Gridserve, with other businesses, including M&S, Popeyes and Burger King, due to open.

The neighbouring Broadland Business Park has the council's own headquarters, while a Costco is due to be built soon.

Cllr Laming raised her concerns........
