Food hall expanding its car park due to customer demand

The Norfolk Food Hall at the Norfolk Showground opened its doors last May and has seen shoppers flock to the venue for local produce and to enjoy dishes in the restaurant.

Bosses are now finding the car park is too small to accommodate the volume of visitors.

"We have been open for nine months and trade has been extremely good," Mark Ellis, general manager, said.

"Each week we are getting more and more customers and the car park is too small to meet demand.

"We have quickly taken on board what our customers want and the response has been excellent."

The staff announced the plans online and said in a Facebook post that they have been "genuinely blown away" by the continued support of their customers.

The work is currently under way after South Norfolk Council gave the plans the go-ahead.

It is expected to be finished in early April and the shop and café will remain open to customers.
