Start date finally announced for vital crossing at retail park
After two years of back and forth between supermarket chain Aldi and housing developer Persimmon Homes have finally agreed to install the crossing at Longwater Retail Park.
Work to build the pedestrian crossing, along William Frost Way, will begin on July 7 and last for nine weeks.
While the work will bring with it some disruption to the area Gary Blundell, district councillor for New Costessey ward, said it's "a small price to pay".
