Commercial building close to centre of Norwich sells at auction for £198,000
The unit currently occupied by the award-winning Dhaba at 15 Indian restaurant in Magdalen Street went under the hammer on Wednesday.
It fetched £198,000 at the sale with Auction House East Anglia - just below the initial guide price of £200,000.
The restaurant has not been impacted by the sale of the premises and it remains open for diners.
Dhaba at 15 currently has a 15-year lease, which expires in 2028.
Before the sale, a spokeswoman for Auction House East Anglia, said: "The ground floor provides a restaurant and commercial kitchen, with additional seating and residential accommodation to the upper storeys.
"To the rear of the building are some attached stores fronting onto Thoroughfare Yard.
"The property is located in Magdalen Street, a short distance from Norwich city centre and the Anglia Square redevelopment scheme.
"The area is known for its wide array of independent retailers and leisure operators."
