EXCLUSIVE: Teenager 'assaulted' by protestors recounts 'terrifying' incident

Reuben, who chose not to give his surname, was speaking with a reporter from another news outlet on August 24 when his interview was interrupted by anti-migrant protestors.

The teenager said he saw a reporter "speaking to locals" outside the Brook Hotel in Bowthorpe, where many protests against the housing of asylum seekers have taken place.

Although Reuben spent his young childhood in south-west London, he has lived in Norwich for the last eight years.

He said: "I was born in Kingston but I moved here when I was about 10 and my family is from here."

Reuben, who lives on a street close to the hotel, went over to share his opinions about the noise and sense of intimidation he felt from the protests.
