We tried Wingstop to see if the six-hour queues were worth it

Hundreds of chicken fans flocked to Wingstop in the pouring rain to be among the first to try its world-famous wings on Monday.

With the first customers pitching up at 5.30am, and queues remaining in place throughout the next day, we decided to try some of the best-selling menu items to see what the hype is all about.

The meat-eaters in the office started with the chicken tenders, which are boneless pieces of tenderloin.

We tried the original tenders, which were tangy and crispy, with soft chicken.

Garlic and parmesan chicken tenders (Image: Newsquest) These were really large pieces of meat and felt really good value for money at £5.95 for three or £8.25 for five.

The star of the show was the garlic parmesan tenders, which were crunchy, cheesy and really full of garlic flavour.

The boneless nuggets are a great option for those who don't like working around a wing bone.........
