Norwich City Council is set to announce the award of a contract to Birmingham-based firm DSM Demolition for the razing of the site.

The area has recently been transformed into a ghost town, with traders moved on to new locations, and work to strip out the interiors of the buildings is scheduled to start in three weeks.

However, the full demolition and clearing of Anglia Square is not expected to finish until March next year.
