The deal was confirmed at a meeting of Norwich City Council's cabinet this week but the details have been kept under wraps for the time being.

Work to demolish the site is due to get under way next week, starting with the stripping out of the empty buildings.

The cost of acquiring and clearing the site has been covered by a £34m government grant handed to City Hall and the new partnership is expected to help support the next stage of development.
