Calls for reinstatement of historic city centre market cross
Norwich Market Cross, a grand structure that stood at 60ft tall, once dominated Norwich Market but was pulled down nearly 300 years ago.
It was located opposite what is now Davey Place and was described as the "beating heart" of the market.
In light of Norwich City Council's plans for a major overhaul of the market, there have suggestions that the structure could be rebuilt and turned into a tourist attraction.
