City's businesses hail key shopping season as 'best year yet'
Some businesses say they have more than doubled their sales from last year's period and are already preparing for the year ahead.

And one store owner says that while shops in other cities are struggling it feels "like Norwich is kicking the high street trend".
This is despite fears the ongoing roadworks - specifically the ones taking place at the Thickthorn roundabout where lane closures on the A11 and A47 have caused extensive delays and pushed traffic onto other routes - would deter customers from making the journey into the city.
