A group of four caravans moved on to a service road off Atlantic Avenue in Sprowston last week where they remained over the weekend.

Police were seen at the entrance to the road on Monday morning only hours after the fire service were called to the area to put out a "fire in the open".

Their encampment has left some neighbours, who have kept chains on their doors and their windows shut, feeling "on edge" during their stay.
