Senior NHS nurse investigated over 'Hamas' posts on social media
Sarah El-Salamani, who works as an endoscopy nurse at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, made a series of controversial remarks online, including one in which she described gunmen from the Palestinian terror group as "freedom fighters".
Bosses at the hospital said they had begun an investigation after receiving a formal complaint about her posts.
Ms El-Salamani, who is a senior nurse and a lead for the East of England Endoscopy Training Academy, had commented on social media sites Threads and Facebook beneath posts about Israel's prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

On one, saying a drone had hit Mr Netanyahu's home, she wrote: "Please, please let him be dead."
And on another about him undergoing surgery she stated: "Can't be heart surgery because he hasn't got one. Hopefully there'll be a few mistakes in the drug calculation by his anaesthetist".
She also reposted a message from another social media user which praised Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas, after he was killed by Israeli soldiers in October.
