Norfolk County Council leaders have announced they will pause works on the main roads into Norwich and within the inner ring road.

The council says the only exceptions will be emergency works carried out by utility companies, but says those will be "carefully monitored" to ensure they need to be done.

Recent weeks have seen drivers having to contend with lengthy queues because of the knock-on effect of so many roadworks.
