Norfolk disabilities charity makes plea after 'funding cliff edge'
Bosses at the BUILD charity have appealed for for help so that the charity, which saw its income cut by £30,000 last year, can keep providing crucial social, leisure and learning opportunities for adults with disabilities.
Demand for services from the charity, founded in 1967 and based in Bank Street in Norwich, is increasing, but income dropped by 41pc.
It has been hit hard by national changes in charitable trust funding and the restructuring or closure of organisations which traditionally given grants.
The charity is urging local people, businesses and funders to help protect the lifeline which community-based charities provide to people in need.
