But that's what South Norfolk Council leader Daniel Elmer does in a bizarre new video, produced to highlight how the authority is trying to protect quality farmland from applications for energy infrastructure.

The video, which references the ultraviolent Grand Theft Auto series of video games, sees Conservative leader Mr Elmer daydreaming about how to deal with the spate of applications for solar panels, pylons and battery storage farms in south Norfolk.

Sporting sunglasses, Mr Elmer, in a reference to how players cycle through items they hold in the hugely successful GTA games, initially selects flowers, then a camera.

But he then nods in approval as he settles on a rocket launcher, which he uses to take aim at a solar farm and........
