'Sham' claim over bid to revive scrapped Norwich Western Link road
Conservative leaders at County Hall revealed they are reconsidering all options to find a solution to traffic woes west of Norwich.
The rethink comes after objections, including over the road's impact on protected bats, forced them to pull plans for a 3.9-mile road over the Wensum Valley.
The council says it is unlikely a dual carriageway or viaduct will be viable due to environmental concerns, but a single carriageway could be an option.
