Bird flu confirmed on fifth Norfolk farm as worrying outbreak grows
Defra says all poultry on the premises will be humanely culled after a highly pathogenic strain of avian influenza was identified at the farm on November 13.
A 3km protection zone and 10km surveillance zone have also been declared around the premises.
Since the first case of the 2025-2026 avian influenza outbreak season was confirmed on October 11, there have now been 31 cases across England, of which nine are in Norfolk and Suffolk.
They include Norfolk turkey farms at Wighton, near Wells, and at © Norwich Evening News
