The victim had been asleep when the attack started, on May 14 last year.

The defendant, previously of Albion Road, Yarmouth, denied rape, assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH), attempted rape and assault by penetration.

Goncalves was jailed by Judge Andrew Shaw who told him "women are not property to be used by you" when he was looking to satisfy "a sexual urge".
