Window wipers are known to suddenly stop working during snowy and icy conditions, costing drivers anywhere between £50 to £180 to replace.

This comes as new research suggests that around 40% of drivers have experienced malfunctioning wipers in icy weather.

Around 75% of motorists say their first reaction to this would be to replace their wipers completely.
