Cyclone 'Senyar': Low-pressure system in Bay of Bengal likely to intensify; heavy rainfall alert issued for Southern states
New Delhi: A low-pressure system developing near Malaysia and the Strait of Malacca is expected to intensify into a depression over the South Andaman Sea within the next 12 hours, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The system, currently positioned near latitude 5.1°N and longitude 99.0°E, has been moving west-northwest at a speed of 10 kmph.
At 5:30 pm IST on November 25, the depression was located about 150 km west-southwest of George Town in Malaysia, 210 km east of Kuta Makmur in Indonesia, 680 km east-southwest of Nancowry in the Nicobar Islands, and 820 km........
