Premanand Maharaj to resume padyatra from old route after protesters apologise
New Delhi: Spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj’s padyatra from the old route will begin in the wee hours of Tuesday at 2 am in Vrindavan. Premanand Maharaj’s padyatra will be taken out in its original format and follow the original route. Premanand Maharaj himself announced, “Brijwasis, be ready at the gate at 2:00 am.”
On February 6, an unexpected announcement was made from Maharaj’s ashram to suspend the padyatra from the old route indefinitely, citing health reasons. However, it was later revealed that the decision was made due to objection raised by residents of the NRI Green Society along the route of the padyatra. They cited disturbances due to the use of drums and other instruments during the padyatra.
