New Delhi: The year 2025 is a year of defining chapter in India’s infrastructure development. Developments have been seen in every sector since the beginning of the year, be it railways, aviation, highways, digital, and maritime; the growths were witnessed in every sphere.

It may be noted that the capital investment outlay for infrastructure increased to Rs 11.21 lakh crore in FY 2025-26, even as India is likely to add add $1 trillion to its GDP every 12-18 months through 2047.

Connecting Mizoram to India’s national railway network for the first time: History has been created with Mizoram joining India’s national railway network. This is a significant achievement for the Northeast and fulfills a long-held aspiration of the state’s people. The 51-kilometer-long Bairabi-Sairang railway line, built at a cost of over Rs 8,000 crore, has directly connected Aizawl to India’s national railway network for the first time in independent India’s history. Emergency services, military logistics, civilian healthcare, education, and employment opportunities for the population of Mizoram have all been significantly transformed by a single railway........
