New Delhi: PV Sindhu’s campaign at the BWF World Championships ended on Friday after a heartbreaking loss in the quarterfinal against Indonesia’s Putri Kusuma Wardani in Paris. The Indian shuttler produced a determined display to come back from a game down to force a decider, but the 23-year-old Indonesian shuttler kept her composure to seal a 21-14, 13-21, 21-16 win and progress to the semifinal.
Sindhu, thus, failed to break the quarterfinal curse of 2025. The two-time Olympic medallist has endured a tough season, with quarterfinal finishes at the India Open and the ongoing BWF World Championships her best results.
