New Delhi: Jofra Archer is in line to return to international red-ball cricket for the first time since 2021 after the tearaway fast bowler was picked in England’s 15-member squad for the second Test against India at Edgbaston, Birmingham, starting next week on July 2.

Archer was recalled to the squad after proving his fitness by playing for Sussex in their County fixture against Durham earlier this week. He bowled 18 overs on a docile pitch at Chester-le-Street and sounded confident about his return to the national side for the ongoing India series.

Following an impressive 5-wicket win in the opening Test, England have added muscle and, more importantly, experience to their bowling attack.........
