New Delhi: Henil Patel’s five-wicket haul was the cornerstone of India’s six-wicket win (DLS method) over USA in their ICC Under-19 World Cup opener in Baulwayo on Thursday.

The seamer’s impressive display (5/16 from seven overs including a maiden) bundled out USA for a paltry 107 in 35.2 overs.

Rain delayed India’s innings and when play resumed India completed their revised target of 96 runs in 17.2 overs.

India’s 14-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi (2) was dismissed warly, as he was bowled by Ritvik Appidi (2/24 in 5 overs) in the third over.
