New Delhi: Explosive batter Travis Head and young all-rounder Annabel Sutherland won the most prestigious honours at Cricket Australia’s annual awards on Monday.

Head received the Allan Border medal after being chosen as Australia’s men’s cricketer of the year for 2024 while Sutherland was the recipient of the Belinda Clark Medal for being picked as the country’s topmost female cricketer for the year.

Left hander Head scored a cumulative 1427 runs across three formats to receive 208 votes to get the top honour, ahead of Josh Hazlewood (158 votes) and skipper Pat Cummins (147 votes).
