Vadodara witnessed an unusual traffic jam this week — not because of rallies, processions or monsoon showers, but because of pani puris.

Near the busy Sursagar Lake area, a woman staged a dramatic sit-in protest after alleging she had been short-changed at a roadside stall. Her grievance? The vendor served her only four puris for Rs 20 instead of the six she believed she had paid for.
