IMD forecasts heavy rain, snowfall in Kashmir and Himachal; Delhi may see light showers
New Delih: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a fresh western disturbance which is set to impact the western Himalayan region from Saturday. It is likely to cause heavy rainfall and snowfall, with peak intensity expected on Sunday, February 1.
According to the IMD, the approaching system is likely to cause heavy rain and snow over higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. At the same time, light to moderate rainfall is expected over northwest India and adjoining central regions between January 31 and February 2.
