The IMD has revised Delhi’s August rainfall total after correcting an erroneous entry for August 6 at the Safdarjung station. The figure was reduced from 230.5 mm to 197.2 mm, meaning the city has received around 87 per cent of its normal August rainfall so far, rather than exceeding the monthly average.
New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has corrected Delhi’s recorded rainfall for August after identifying an error in the data entered for August 6 at the Safdarjung weather station.
