Under existing rules, sound levels must remain within 55 decibels between 6 am and 10 pm, and 45 decibels after 10 pm. The committee has urged all mandals to follow the norms. Meanwhile, new food safety requirements for distributing Mahaprasad have raised concerns among smaller mandals. Suppliers providing food will need valid licences, but organisers say hiring licensed vendors could increase their expenses. They have asked the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to consider a practical solution.
