New Delhi: The most popular one-year BEd course will be restarted again. As per the NEP 2020 recommendations, the one-year BEd course will start after a decade with new conditions. The one-year BEd programme was discontinued in 2014 and the last batch to complete the course was in 2015.

According to TV9 Hindi reoport, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) took several decisions regarding the one-year BEd course in its recent meeting. NCTE Chairman Prof Pankaj Arora announced that the governing council has also approved the new rules of 2025. The new guidelines will replace those of 2014.
