1971 Indo-Pak war liberated Bangladesh, but at a heavy cost to India

New Delhi: Rightly said by the great Richard P. Feynman that Stupidity is knowing the truth, seeing the truth but still believing the lies. And that is more infectious than any other disease. This great quote comes to my mind while seeing some baseless claims floating on social media and some traditional media.

Indian Army provided videos of successful Operation Sindoor and still people are spreading baseless speculations on Operation Sindoor. The original operation was to take revenge for the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam where innocent civilians (mostly Hindus) were killed by Pakistan sponsored terrorists. During operation Sindoor, Indian Army successfully destroyed 9 terrorist training camps inside Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Period, full stop. No argument.

Since then India have been giving befitting replies to the terror organizers in Pakistan — exactly what any responsible country would have done in any similar situation. Our armed forces have pulverized Pak military and terrorist installations in several key locations as revealed officially by the Indian Army. At the same time, Pakistan did not even show a single acceptable evidence of their claim so far.

Under this scenario, it is very unfortunate for us to see some of the so called “our people” started glorifying Mrs. Indira Gandhi over Mr. Narendra Modi because Mr. Modi avoided a war whereas Mrs. Gandhi had the Indian armed forces fight and win the 1971 war. Let me put aside all political speculation and ask what........
