New Delhi: McLaren have unveiled the JC96, a limited edition of the 750S that celebrated McLaren’s participation in the All-Japan Grand Touring Car Championship of 1996. The racing team had taken the win in the Driver’s Championship in their fabled McLaren F1 GTR.

Three decades later, the occasion is being marked by the British luxury automobile manufacturer, with 61 a limited run available to customers in Japan. Each car will come with a unique “Tiger Stripe” livery that recalls the F1 GTR element. Even the interior details and ultra-lightweight 15-spoke forged alloy wheels are inspired by the race car.
