ED raids AAP MP: The agency is also raiding the premises linked to the family members of the Rajya Sabha MP. Premises of his brothers Ramesh Mittal and Naresh Mittal are being searched.

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday conducted raids at various locations of the Lovely Group in Jalandhar and Phagwara in Punjab. The searches are being carried out in connection with alleged violations of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

The group is headed by Aam Aadmi Party MP Ashok Mittal. Mittal was appointed as the party’s deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha, replacing Raghav Chadha recently.

Raids underway at various locations

According to reports, the raids are underway at several locations including Lovely Professional University, Lovely Autos, Lovely Sweets, and the Lovely Distance Education Centre.

The agency is also raiding the premises linked to the family members of the Rajya Sabha MP. Premises of his brothers Ramesh Mittal and Naresh Mittal are being searched.

The ED officials are conducting raids simultaneously across locations.
