Kavitha gears up for political reboot, Padayatra may lead to new party launch in Telangana
After her suspension from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Kalvakuntla Kavitha appears poised for a major political comeback — one that could potentially reshape Telangana’s political landscape. Speculation is rife that the daughter of BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao is preparing to launch her own political outfit.
Her latest move — a statewide padayatra titled “Jagruthi Janambata” — is being seen as the first step in that direction. Set to begin on October 25th, the four-month outreach programme will take Kavitha across Telangana, where she plans to engage directly with citizens, spending two days in each district. Her focus, she says, is on listening to the people — farmers, women, youth, intellectuals — and understanding how far the state has lived up to the promises made during the Telangana movement. Her declared motto is telling: “My path is the people’s path.”
