Rajasthan: Farmer buries Rs 5 lakh in field to hide it from family, termites destroy it

A farmer in Rajasthan's Balotra district hid Rs 5 lakh cash inside his field around a year back. He did not tell his family about it. However, when he tried to retrieve it, he realised that he had forgotten where exactly had he buried the cash. His family also failed to recover it. After almost a year, when the family was ploughing the land using a tractor, they found the cash packet. However the entire money had been destroyed by termites.

New Delhi: A farmer in Rajasthan’s Balotra district lost Rs 5 lakh to termites. The story gets even more interesting as the termites did not attack the cash while it was stored in some cupboard or drawer, but was buried inside the field of the farmer.

According to a report in Times Now, the farmer, Mangilal Meghwal, a resident of Pachpadra, secretly buried Rs 5 lakh cash in his field, around a year ago. The man wanted to build a room on his farm by using this money.
