Mumbai: 26 Kenyans detained with 29 kg gold worth Rs 38 crore at Airport
A tourist group from Kenya was detained at the Mumbai Airport, for trying to smuggle in gold worth Rs 37.7 crore. According to DRI officials, they began to check the group after receiving specific intelligence inputs regarding smugglers trying to sneak gold into India, via the Mumbai Airport. The DRI has detained 26 people in the case.
New Delhi: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has arrested 26 Kenyan nationals at the Mumbai Airport. They are all accused of allegedly trying to smuggle gold worth Rs 37.7 crore from Nairobi. The group was arrested from Mumbai Airport’s Terminal 2.
