Tamil Nadu weather: Rain, thunderstorms likely till August 17, temperatures to rise

New Delhi: Temperatures in parts of Tamil Nadu could rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above normal over the next few days while several districts are likely to receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds, according to the Chennai Meteorological Centre.

In its weather bulletin issued on August 11, the centre said a weak low-level trough is prevailing along the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu. This weather system is expected to bring rain to several parts of the state over the coming days.
