Asia Cup 2025: Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by 4 wickets to begin Super 4 campaign with a win
New Delhi: Bangladesh pulled off a thrilling four-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in their Super 4 match of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Stadium on Saturday. After winning the toss, Bangladesh captain Litton Das chose to field first. Sri Lanka posted a modest total of 168/7, thanks largely to Dasun Shanaka’s unbeaten 64 off 37 balls. The rest of the Sri Lankan batting lineup struggled to keep the scoreboard ticking although Pathum Nissanka (22) and Kusal Mendis (34) gave the innings a solid start in the first five overs.
After losing Nissanka and Mendis in quick succession, Sri Lanka slipped to 58/2, with middle-order batters Kamil Mishara and Kusal Perera unable to make significant contributions. The........
